Getting started

A card is one page, one link, and everybody's cards. This is the whole of it, from an empty page to the moment the person it was made for opens it.

Make a card

Press Create your page. Nothing is saved yet: the title, the person you name it for, the backdrop and the music are held in this browser, so closing the tab costs nothing and coming back offers to pick it up. Write the first card yourself if you like: an empty card is harder to join than one with something already on it.

Save it

Save asks you to sign in, and signing in is what puts the card in your account and makes its link work for everybody else. Until then it exists in one browser, on one device, and there is nothing to send anyone.

Ask people to write

Open Invite in the card's tool rail and send the link it gives you. Anyone holding that link can read the card and add to it: a card, a photo, a GIF, a video clip or a voice note. Writing needs no account, no app and no invitation from us.

Watch it fill up

Open the card whenever you want to see what has arrived. It re-reads itself each time you come back to the tab. The title, the backdrop and the music stay yours to change while it fills, and Preview shows you what the person it is for will see.

Hand it over

When the card is full, open Deliver and send that link, a different link from the invite one, to the person you made it for. It opens with the card's title and a single button, and behind that the cards and nothing else: none of the controls you have been using are there.

Afterwards

The card stays on the same link for as long as you keep it, and so does everything written on it. Deleting it takes the cards on it and their files with it.
